On Free Software Foundation Directory

We've had the stamp of approval that we're as free as we can be! The Free Software Directory, a joint project between the Free Software Foundation and UNESCO, has added SilverStripe after verifying the credibility of our software and ensuring SilverStripe is free and can run on free operating systems.

User Help Released

We've released userhelp.silverstripe.com, which contains over a hundred pages of user documentation--how to use a completed SilverStripe website: adding pages, uploading images, sending newsletters et al. This is available as browsable website and as a downloadable 8MB PDF.

Themes Available

Back in mid February we announced we were working on a number of templates for skinning SilverStripe. Most of these are close to completion, so we've created a themes download page and themes forum. We've also released the first theme, BlackCandy.

SilverStripe 2.0.1 released

We're proud to announce a bug and security oriented release, 2.0.1. Much of the focus has gone into fixing the most common installation problems people mentioned in our forums in the past two months.

Google Summer of Code students announced

We're delighted to announce the ten students working with us over coming months, thanks (very much) to Google's Summer of Code program.

Release Candidate Six

Thanks to the Easter bunnies testing our last release candidate we've been able to further improve stability of SilverStripe and are released v2.0.1rc6. Please download and test, and if no critical issues are found, then this will directly become 2.0.1 stable.

Welly LUG

We're happily giving the Wellington Linux User Group a home in the CBD for their monthly (free) meet ups. Anyone interesting in learning or teaching introductory or sophisticated tasks, or socialising with other open source geeks is invited to our offices at 6pm on Monday 23rd April.

New Beta

Andrew's taken your feedback and released 2.0.1rc3 (and shortly after, 2.0.1rc4). Please help us test it and we can then label this as the 2.0.1 stable.
